All Bus Stations at London Victoria

To a local, Victoria Bus Station is not an entirely accurate name for the international (Eurolines) bus station – that is Victoria Coach Station. There are several bus stations or places which can be called Victoria Bus Station. They are all very close to one another, but each has a different purpose and different kinds of buses.

  • Victoria Coach Station is the station for international and long-distance buses. Buses operated by Eurolines, National Express, Megabus, and Oxford Express, as well as many other smaller carriers, use this station. Victoria Coach Station is situated at the corner of Buckingham Palace Road and Elizabeth Street.
  • Victoria Bus Station is the station for local buses (the typical London red buses). It is located at Terminus Place in front of Victoria Railway Station (on the northern side of Victoria Railway Station, near the crossing of Victoria Street and Buckingham Palace Road).
  • GreenLine Coach Station is the station for regional buses operated by GreenLine Coaches and Greyhound UK. It is located in Bulleid Way, next to Victoria Plaza and south of Victoria Railway Station.
  • To make things even more confusing, there are also London airport transfer buses (GreenLine, EasyBus) which stop directly in Buckingham Palace Road.

London Victoria Bus Station Location

Victoria Station is located south of Buckingham Palace Gardens in the City of Westminster, in the very centre of London. The big street passing Victoria (Railway) Station in the north-west is Buckingham Palace Road – and as you would expect, it can take you directly to Buckingham Palace (in about 5 minutes walk). In front of Victoria Station, Buckingham Palace Road crosses Victoria Street, which starts here and goes to the north-east to Westminster Abbey and Parliament.

Victoria is also a busy tube (London underground) station, served by three lines – Circle, District, and Victoria. There are numerous local bus lines serving Victoria Station – some of them stop at the above mentioned Victoria Bus Station (Terminus Place), others stop in the surrounding streets.
