Travel Inn Roy Messer Highway – This is the first hotel on the Interstate 81 after its beginning from I-40. It is located just off the first exit (for Tennessee State Route 341 – Roy Messer Highway) and 3 miles from the center of White Pine. The hotel covers all the basics, including free parking, free WiFi and a good breakfast. There is also a fridge and coffee making facilities in the rooms, and several places to eat are also available close to the hotel. Pet friendly. Overall: basic accommodation, but clean and good value relative to the area.
There are 3 hotels / motels immediately off the next exit, exit 8, which is halfway between Morristown and White Pine. The location offers all the basic highway services, including a petrol station and several places to eat.
Best Western Plus Morristown – This one scores highest on the guest reviews, praised mainly for the breakfast and comfortable beds, with the occasional complaint about limited availability of channels on the in-room TV (besides the flat-screen TV there is also a clock radio with MP3 connection. All rooms also have a fridge and coffee making facilities. Pets are welcome. Free WiFi, free parking.
Super 8 Morristown – This hotel is chaper than the above, also offers free parking, free Wifi, in-room fridge, microwave and TV, with the option to add a coffee maker and hairdrier as extras. Some rooms have desks if you need to work. Pet friendly.
Parkway Inn Morristown – Similar in price to the Super 8, sometimes even a bit cheaper. Rooms are simple, but offer all the usual amenities like a TV, fridge and microwave. Breakfast is included. Pets are not allowed in this hotel. Free parking, free WiFi and laundry facilities.
There are two hotels just off exit 23.
The first one is a bit more expensive, but offers a wider range of amenities, while the second offers very competitive prices, especially if you are traveling with a family or in a group (a big room for up to 4 guests can be booked for a rate more typical for 1-2 guests).
Quality Inn Bulls Gap – This hotel is a bit more expensive than the one below, but offers a wide range of amenities. In the room you have big flat screen TV with a good selection of channels, a desk, fridge, microwave and hair drier. The hotel also has a fitness center, an outdoor pool and a business center. Free WiFi is available in all areas. Parking if also free and pets are welcome. Breakfast is included.
Super 8 Bulls Gap – This hotel does not have a pool, fitness or business infrastructure, but the provides all the basics (free WiFi, free parking, TV, fridge, microwave) at good standard and very competitive prices. It can be a particularly good value if you are traveling with a family or a group, as large rooms for up to 4 guests can be booked at rates otherwise more typical for a smaller single or double room.
